Instructor Course Requirements:

To become an AHA BLS Instructor, you must:

1. Hold a current AHA BLS Provider certification
   (You must demonstrate strong BLS skills.)
2. Be aligned with an authorized AHA Training Center (TC)
   (The TC will mentor you, monitor your teaching, and issue cards.)
3. Complete the AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Course (online)
   (A self-paced course covering AHA philosophy, course delivery, and instructor responsibilities.)
4. Attend a hands-on Instructor-led session
   (You’ll be evaluated on your teaching and skills.)
5. Be successfully monitored teaching your first course within 6 months
   (This ensures quality and readiness to teach independently.)

Once completed, you’ll be eligible to align with an AHA Training Center and start teaching immediately.

 This is a mandatory course that must be completed prior to starting the BLS Instructor course.
